BioShock Infinite requires 24GHz processor 20GB install

first_imgThe release of BioShock Infinite may have been pushed back a month to March 26, but that hasn’t stopped the team at Irrational Games releasing new information about the game in preparation for its launch. And with just over two months to go, the PC specifications have been revealed. As is typical, Irrational Games and publisher 2K have released both minimum and recommended specs for the title. Meeting the minimum will get you a playable game, where as recommended hardware means you’ll experience the game as the developer wanted you to, with all the graphical features turned on and the resolution set to HD levels. In order to play the game you are going to need a minimum of:2.4GHz Core 2 Duo or 2.7GHz Athlon X2 processor2GB RAMATI Radeon HD 3870, Nvidia 8800 GT, or Intel HD 3000 GPU512MB dedicated video card memory20GB hard drive spaceWindows Vista 32-bit with Service Pack 2If you want to play the game as intended, then you need to at least meet the following recommended specs:Quad core Intel or AMD processor4GB RAMATI Radeon HD 6950 or Nvidia GTX 5601024MB dedicated video card memory30GB hard drive spaceWindows 7 64-bit with Service Pack 1In all cases, BioShock Infinite requires Steam and therefore you’ll need access to the Internet in order to authenticate your copy. You can, however, play without a connection after that.Chances are good that most modern PCs will match the recommended specs with the one exception being the graphics card. That may require an upgrade. The hard drive requirement is also quite large, but not ridiculous taking into account the size of hard drives today. The good news is BioShock Infinite is going to be playable on most PCs and laptops released over the last few years, and even if your hardware doesn’t come up to spec, you can always opt for the PS3 or Xbox 360 version.last_img read more
