Bayonne Civic League and Grace Lutheran Church partner for first ever…

first_imgTo the Editor: The Bayonne Civic League is proud to announce the unveiling of a Little Free Library at 10 a.m. on Oct 20. The library will be housed on the lawn of Grace Lutheran Church, which has partnered with the Bayonne Civic League for this endeavor.Little Free Libraries are small, permanent structures that offer free books to the community. Books are stocked by local citizens and are available for anyone to use. Having a Little Free Library as a feature of the community encourages citizens to give back, stay involved, and promote literacy. This will be the first of its kind for Bayonne.As a community-oriented 501c3 organization, the Bayonne Civic League recognizes the achievements made in community outreach and youth literacy by the Little Free Library Organization. Elkhart man bonded out after threatening to kill pregnant woman

first_img Twitter Pinterest (Photo supplied/Elkhart County Jail) An Elkhart man is accused of threatening to kill a woman after taking her phone so she couldn’t call for help.Elkhart County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on Oakdale Street, last week, where the victim alleged that Brian Hibshman Jr., 30, had confined her to a bedroom, battered her and threatened to shoot her.The woman said it happened when they got into an fight about him allegedly being intoxicated.The Elkhart Truth reports officers found him hiding in a vehicle near Hazel Street and Hively Avenue.Hibshman Jr. faces charges including criminal confinement resulting in injury and domestic battery to a pregnant woman and unauthorized entry of a vehicle.
