Peter O’Neill and our Government of Papua New Guinea, let me be the first to welcome you to our country PNG for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup,” he said.Adding that the three weeks of competition will see football inspire PNG in the Pacific and show the world how football transcends race, religion, culture and country.“We applaud the work of the organizing committee here in Zurich and also the local organising committee in PNG of their passion and tireless effort to make the event a success in November in Port Moresby.”Moreover, President of the Papua New Guinea Football Association and the Oceania Football League David Chung assured the FIFA organising committees and officials that Papua New Guinea will deliver an exciting event in November.“Papua New Guinea will have its challenges but we are sure we can deliver an exciting competition with the help of FIFA with the backdrop of our beautiful country,” Chung said.He also also raised an early warm welcome to the participating teams and fans to PNG to promote women’s football in the country and the Pacific as he congratulates the FIFA for their support towards the event.last_img
